What is health and well-being?

Health is easy to define. It is a state of balance where the body is free of illness, injury, or disease--you feel good physically.

Well-being can be a bit more elusive, because it is connected to how we feel emotionally. We are all different beings so our definition of well-being will be unique to each of us. Only you truly know your state of well-being--where you are in your state of happiness and satisfaction with life.

If your body is not healthy and your well-being is not "well," how can you be in joy with your life?

So which should you attempt to change first? There is no easy answer to this question, but what we will tell you is that we have found there is a direct link between health and well-being. One can positively or negatively affect the other. 

If you are carrying around extra weight, that weight is a burden to your body. It can also be a sign of poor nutrition and toxic build up, which can have more far reaching consequences than the fact that your pants are too tight.

If you are depressed, stressed, or lonely, your body chemicals are often out of balance and you may attempt to compensate for feeling "bad" by eating comfort food or drinking alcohol, both of which in excess can cause weight gain or damage to organs, to say nothing of sending you into a downward spiral.

But you probably already know these things and that is why you are here. You want to get started on changing for the better. You want to be happier and healthier. Health and well-being require an investment of your time and energy, but the rewards for that investment are priceless. Congratulations on taking the first steps.

You can choose to let it own you or you can take back your life.

If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't. Your mind is a powerful tool and you can make it work for you. There may be products, devices, or procedures that can assist you, but there is no product, device, or procedure that can replace a good diet and regular exercise.

Stop living in a fantasy world, take a big bite of reality, and surrender to the fact that YOU are the one in control.

Your choices got you here and your choices can get you out. The only time it is ever too late is when you are dead.
